Anti Inflammatory HerbsAn herbs list of anti inflammatory herbs, known for repairing and responding to inflammation.
Inflammation is a natural process of the body to injury. As good as that is, it can also be damaging.
How is that possible? Well, when tissues are injured, the body kicks in with an inflammatory response. Signs of this response show up as redness, swelling, heat, and pain. This is the body's way of stopping the spread of the disease, cleaning up cell garbage and pathogens, and healing the damaged tissue. When the inflammatory process kicks in, many different mediators come into play to do their jobs. Each of these mediators have profound effects on our bodies. These contain the compounds that cause us to look for anti inflammtory herbs. Remember though, that many symptoms are not directly caused by the disease but rather by the body's response. For instance, eczema is a skin condition that anti inflammatory drugs are used for quite often. However, the eczema is the body's way of getting rid of something. It just so happens to do it through the skin. By all means, use the anti inflammatory but don't forget to look at the underlying causes of the eczema to bring true healing. So, getting back to those mediators. All those mediators are complex, each doing different things for different types of injury. The compounds in the medicinal herbs differ in their specific action as they focus on different mediators. In order for anti inflammatory herbs to be effective the right herb has to be used for the right condition.
