Bath Melts Recipes

Making moisturizing bath melts is very easy with these bath melts recipes!

This is pure indulgence! Make these moisturizing bath luxuries and have them on hand for a very special treat. The butters in here are rich and very moisturizing to the skin.

These butters melt at about the same temperature as your bath water. So plopping one or two in the tub will cause it to instantly begin melting. The wonderful scents of lavender, peppermint, chamomile, rose essential oils all give special qualities to these bath treats!


Basic Bath Melts Recipes

What you will need:
Add Lemon essential oil for invigorating effects.

Add Peppermint essential oil for stimulating effects.

Add Lavender or Chamomile essential oil for relaxation.

Add Rose essential oil for a sensual indulgence.

  • 1/2 cup cocoa butter
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil
  • 6 drops essential oil of choice

How To Make

  1. Melt the cocoa butter in a saucepan over low heat or microwave until melted.
  2. Add coconut oil and stir to melt.

  4. Allow to cool for a few minutes. Remove from heat.
  5. Add essential oils and begin whipping with a wire whisk or electric beaters.
  6. Once it looks like whipped cream, drop from teaspoons to look like meringue cookies.
  7. Allow to cool until firm.
  8. Package.

How To Make Muffin Melts

These make a striking presentation when poured into foil mini muffin cups.

For kids baths, use ice cube trays that come in fun shapes.

Be creative!

Add lavender buds, rose buds or petals to the top of the muffin cup to create a beautiful look!

  1. Use the same ingredients and follow the same directions as the Basic Bath Melts.
  2. Optional: add 1 tsp cocoa powder for "chocolate muffins"
  3. Then scoop into into the mini muffin cups or ice cube trays and press slightly. Allow to cool.
  4. As it is cooling add the optional herbs on top and slightly press into the mixture.
  5. Optional: add decorative candy sprinkles for fun!
  6. When cool pop out of the ice cube trays and package.
  7. If using foil muffin cups leave in the foil and don't unmold until ready to use.
