Making Tinctures For Acne

• 1 part calendula flowers
• 1 part echinacea flowers
• 1 part yarrow flowers
• 1 part plantain leaves
• 80-100 proof alcohol like vodka or brandy. That equates to 40%-50% alcohol content.
• Small jar with lid. Washed and sterilized.

1. Put enough herb in the jar to fill half way.

2. Fill the jar to within a half inch from the top with the alcohol
3. Cap tightly. Label with contents and date.
4. Let sit for 3-6 weeks in a dark cupboard.
5. Give the jar a shake daily and check to make sure the herbs are still covered. Add more alcohol if needed.
6. After 3-6 weeks, line a colander with cheesecloth and pour the tincture through to strain. Gather cheesecloth up and squeeze out all the goodness from the herbs.

7. Pour Acne Tincture into a glass bottle, preferably a dark colored one.
8. Label with contents and date.
