Calendula Cream

• 1 cup dried calendula petals (Calendula officinalis)
• 1 1/4 cup olive oil
• 1 oz beeswax

1. Place the calendula petals in an oven safe bowl.
2. Add the olive oil over top and stir. The flowers should be completely covered, add a little more oil if needed.
3. Preheat oven to 200 degrees Fahrenheit. Turn oven off.
4. Place bowl in oven and leave for 3 hours.
5. Take out of oven and place on counter for another 5 hours.
6. Strain through a piece of cheesecloth or muslin. Squeeze out all the oil. You should have about 1 cup of the strained oil.

1. Put your calendula infused oil into the top of a double boiler.
2. Grate the beeswax and add to the calendula oil.
3. Simmer the water in the bottom of the double boiler until the beeswax on top is melted . Stir often.
4. Pour into jars, cap and let cool in fridge.
