Baby receives whatever mama puts into her body. Extreme caution is necessary when a pregnant woman looks to herbs for any type of medical need. Some herbs are nutritive by nature and greatly benefit the nutritional needs of mama and ultimately baby. Be sure to look at these nutritive herbs for pregnancy that are generally accepted as safe. Sometimes herbs are the first choice when there is a medical problem but the best step is to start with the herbs that are least risky and move on up from there if needed. Always, always seek the medical advice of someone who is trained in herbal medicine as well as your midwife or doctor before taking herbs for medical reasons while pregnant. When looking at this list of herbs it is good to know why that herb is not recommended. Some of these are on the no-no list because they are herbs to induce labor.
