Add 1 drop castile soap into the soap dispenser as well. Fill rinse dispenser with distilled white vinegar. Scouring Paste 1 cup baking soda 1/4 cup castile soap 1 tablespoon distilled water 1 tablespoon vinegar 20 drops orange essential oil or any other citrus essential oils. Stain Remover Good for rust removal, too! Sprinkle salt on stain and pour a teaspoon or two of lemon juice over. Let sit for a few minutes. Rub out the stain. A wet pumice stone can be used effectively to rub out without scratching the surface. Sink Cleaner Sprinkle with baking soda and scrub out. Fly lady encourages us to clean out our sinks nightly! Drain Cleaner 1/2 cup baking soda 1/2 cup vinegar Kettle of boiling water Pour baking soda down the drain. Then pour vinegar down the drain. Let sit for 15 minutes. Then pour boiling water down the drain. Oven Cleaner 2 Tablespoons baking soda 2 Tablespoons castile soap 1/2 cup hot water 10 drops orange essential oil Spray oven with soapy water first. Then place this oven cleaner paste on sides and bottom. Let sit overnight and scrap off with pumice stone. Tip: Line the bottom of the oven with foil paper for prevention. Deodorizer 1 cup baking soda 1 teaspoon tea tree oil Mix in a container and sprinkle a little on the bottom of garbage pails or diaper pails. Kitchen Cleaning Tips: Every so often rinse pail out with vinegar and water and let dry out in the sun. Cleaning with vinegar is very cost effective!
