Make Your Own Bath Salts

Make your own bath salts for relaxation and moisturizing effects.

So simple and so good for your skin!

I'll show you how to make a few different bath salts, oils and herbal combinations for different purposes.

Therapeutic Bath Salts

bath-salts-recipes
2 parts coarse sea salt
2 parts white cosmetic clay
1 part epsom salts
1 part borax powder
1 part baking soda
10 drops essential oil to 3 cups Bath Salts
calendula flowers, chamomile flowers, rosemary, peppermint leaves OPTIONAL

Mix together well adding the essential oil last. Add 1/4 cup to bath.
If using herbs be sure to use a small mesh bag to contain all the herbs.

Good essential oils for baths are:

Lavender, Chamomile for relaxation
Peppermint ~ Grapefruit ~Sweet Orange for stimulation
Mandarin ~ Bergamot ~ Ylang-Ylang for sensual

Sea Salt Bath

Add 1-2 cups coarse sea salts to the bath.
Add a few drops essential oil if desired.


Cocoa Butter Bath Salts

1 cup epsom salts
1 cup coarse sea salt
1 cup grated cocoa butter or shea butter
10 drops essential oil
Mix together well adding the essential oil last.
Use 1/4 cup per bath.


Honey and Cream

1/2 cup heavy raw cream
1/4 cup honey

Stir together and add to bath.
Very moisturizing!


Coconut Oil

Simply add 1-2 oz coconut oil to the bath water.
The warmth of the bath water will melt the coconut oil. Very moisturizing!


Basic Bath Oil

2 oz avocado oil
2 oz grapeseed oil
2 oz almond oil
Mix well and store in a jar with tight fitting lid.
Add 1 oz per bath.


Sensual Bath Oil

4 oz Basic Bath Oil
25 drops ylang-ylang essential oil
25 drops mandarin essential oil
15 drops lavender essential oil
Mix well.


Energizing Bath Oil

4 oz Basic Bath Oil
24 drops lime essential oil
18 drops grapefruit essential oil
12 drops lavender essential oil
12 drops peppermint essential oil
Mix well.


Herbal Baths

Place these herbs in a jar, add a gallon of boiling water and steep 1 hour.
Strain and add to the bath water.

Relaxing Herbal Bath

2 handfuls lavender
2 handfuls chamomile flowers

Cleansing Herbal Bath

1 handful sage
1 handful rose petals
2 handfuls mugwort

Garden Variety Herbal Bath

3 handfuls mint
1 handful rosemary
1 handful basil leaves
