Natural cures for depression in the form of a tea for a ray of hope to your day.

This tea offers uses herbs for depression in a way that the body can easily assimilate. Herbal tea remedies are one of my favorite ways to get in the goodness of medicinal herbs.
  • St John's Wort is used traditionally for depression and anxiety.
  • Gingko biloba supports blood flow to the brain helping with neurotransmitters.
  • Oatstraw feeds the nervous system, helping with nervousness and exhaustion due to depression.
  • Nettle is a nutrient rich herb that supports the liver.
  • Peppermint is a wonderful pick me upper and offers great taste to the tea.


Ray of Hope Tea

1 part Gingko Biloba
1 part Oatstraw
1 part St John's Wort
1 part Stinging Nettle
1/2 part Peppermint
1/4 part Rose Petals (optional)

Add 1 tsp of the herb blend to 1 cup of boiling water. Let steep for 5 minutes.

Cautions:
  • Before consuming Gingko Biloba consult a health care practitioner if you have cardiac disorders.
  • Do not take this tea before a surgery as it has blood thinning properties.
  • Also Gingko Biloba increases the effectiveness of other medications, so take that into consideration.
  • St John's Wort causes photosensitization. If you have very pale skin or plans on being out in the sun a lot, please excerise caution and cover up well.
  • St John's Wort also should be used with caution if taking other antidepressant medications.
